White Dove Celebrants
The White Dove team have been creating unique and personal non-religious ceremonies in the Channel Islands for almost a decade.
As the demand for our ceremonies is increasing we now have three fully trained celebrants and during 2018 another celebrant will complete her training with us.
We are always happy to accommodate your choice of celebrant if they are available and this would be confirmed nearer to the ceremony date.
Founder & CELEBRANT
Jayne is the founder of WhiteDove Ceremonies and an experienced celebrant having originally trained with and been accredited by the British Humanist Association.
Since 2008 Jayne has created wedding and naming ceremonies for hundreds of couples and parents and has also worked closely with bereaved families at that most difficult of times to create a personal ceremony to mark the loss of a loved one.
With a background in finance and as a lecturer becoming a celebrant was a complete change of direction but one that used many different skills gained over the years. With a strong interest in design Jayne now also creates the exclusive ceremonial certificates used for weddings and namings and can offer a full design and printing option for all wedding stationery requirements.
Caryn started working alongside Jayne to create and deliver wedding and naming ceremonies in 2015 after they were first introduced by a mutual friend at a wedding in Herm that year.
Caryn loves working with people and through running her own Guernsey tour guide business she already had excellent presentation skills. She proved to be a natural when it came to being a wedding and naming celebrant and has received great reviews from the couples and families she has worked with.
Caryn has a keen interest in cycling and was part of the 2016 Tour de Sez cycling from Guernsey to Bilbao and also the 2018 tour to Amsterdam raising funds for the Sarah Groves Foundation.
Jackie had a thirty year career in finance behind her when she decided to train as a local tour guide. She has worked independently conducting private tours and also for many of the cruise ships that visit Guernsey and in her first year was nominated for a Customer Service Award.
Jackie commenced her training as a Whitedove celebrant in 2017 and has conducted many weddings, namings and funerals. Her great attention to detail and ability to adapt to all situations has made her a great addition to the team.
We have received some lovely comments from couples and parents about Jackie and how relaxed and joyous the ceremonies have been.
Michelle has always had an interest in becoming a celebrant and will be training with us throughout the summer months.
Michelle spent thirty years in New Zealand working in the sports and fitness industry with a special interest in children's participation and women's health and wellbeing. She also qualified as an aromatherapist. Since returning to Guernsey she has worked in many roles with a focus on customer engagement.
Now retired from the finance industry to follow her own path this was an ideal opportunity for us to invite Michelle to join the White Dove team. We know that her excellent range of skills will be easily adapted to create and deliver our unique ceremonies.
Michelle has already started conducting ceremonies and is enjoying her new role looking forward to adding to her skills over the winter in preparation for the 2019 season.
